*Criteria for the Don Olson Award:
Don Olson was an active member of the Bay Area Mustang Association and is credited with coming up with the name “Ponies and Snakes” for our annual car show. His passion and enthusiasm for the Mustang hobby was apparent by all. Don did most of the work on his ’69 convertible and his outstanding attention to detail was evident on his Mustang. Don had a strong sense of family and included them in many of his Mustang outings.
The Bay Area Mustang Association was greatly saddened when Don passed away in 2003. The club members created this award in his honor so that his spirit lives on. This award is designated to someone that embodies the Don Olson spirit – passion, enthusiasm, workmanship and involvement with family.

Don was on the very first Ponies & Snakes planning committee and he came up with the name for our annual car show. Although he passed away in 2003, his spirit continues with the Don Olson award (see criteria below).
